Betwixt my bed and the wall, a chasm
Lost memories
Precious treasure falling down into a reality I can't reach.
You see, there's a world down there
An all consuming void, growing and growing.
It whispers to me when I sleep and laughs at me when I wake.
If I were to fall, how long would I flail?
Would it be a day? Would it be an hour?
My heart fell down there, my dreams and my hopes too
I'm afraid I'll fall, if I reach down there -
I wish you'd write more
your writing is awfully pretty -
Twinkling frost on the car window draws my eye
What is beauty, a big lie? -
Life is a delight, come and see
We all dreamed our little dreams
Had our little aspirations
A little dance, a little song, for the dearly arrived
The living feast, gorging on experiences
A dying dream of living days and nothing left inside
A bitter heart, a rectangular box, nothing left inside
Little dreams and little aspirations to fill the vacuous chasm in a doll's heart. Music boxes as lullabies, a send off to purpose. Nothing left inside.
A dreaming day, for the feasting dead, torn aspirations for the beating hearts. -
My head is a bowl, filled to the point of overflow
An ocean of thoughts spilling past the brim, splashing on the table.
The wooden table creaks under the pressure of the heavier droplets as I reminisce.
I could wipe the table, but wouldn't I lose my thoughts?
Should I just keep the water there, or should I fear it will evaporate? -
Nice poem. I wanna hear more!

The fire had gone out, so very long ago
The brothers who walked apart, have met again, 20 years after
Their eyes sparkle, so very much like the stars, that hang above their heads.
They sing of the lands that they have seen- distant fields, rotting fortresses, and dragon caves.
Ships upon the sea, the crew watching in dismay
As Yvvesgard the serpent, swallows the sun
One brother recounts the mountain trolls
One brother, the wraiths
Devils and demons, the brothers saw there -
Ok…
Keep going! -
(No seriously, keep going!)
