The thundering of hurried feet
The soft brown of my sister's eyes
The pondering of when we'll meet
People scream and so she cries
I hold her close and sing a song
Words of joy and pure delight
A warm hushed breeze drifting along
On a starry summer's night
Water trickling down a stream
Grass swaying softly to that breeze
All is lovely like a dream
Whispers call from rustled leaves
In that forest we shall meet
Time and time again in dreams
A reunion bittersweet
Just for a moment, so it seems
And as they carry her away
I cry my promise out to her
That we will meet another day
Rejoined as sisters for ever
I sob and cry with ragged breath
For I have lied to one so sweet
There is no forest, only death
At Heaven's gate, we'll finally meet
