Michael's personal assistant
Michael's personal assistant was responsible for managing his day, arranging things, anything big or small. He considered himself a friend of Michael's. He would see him several times daily. He was in the shower when Conrad Murray called his phone. 2 minutes later he called back when he got out of the shower. When he got to the house, he saw Michael being carried out. The first thing he asked about was the children. The children got into the car, he doesn't know if they were already in or the staff got them in but they were in the car to follow Michael to the hospital. When he saw Conrad Murray at the hospital, Conrad Murray asked him if he could take him back to the house because Michael had cream in his room that he wouldn't want the public to know about. The personal assistant denied. And it wasn't possible to go back to the house. -
Michael's chef
Michael's chef Kai Chase had professional training for her job. She trained at a chef school in Paris. She worked in restaurants and at some time moved onto personal clients about 10 years ago. She was introduced to Michael to cook healthy food for him and his children. She was very aware of time because she was a chef. She arrived at the house at approximately 8:30-9am six days a week. She used the intercom to enter the gate and a security guard would greet her and take her to the house. She would knock on the kitchen door and the children or the housekeepers would answer. The children ate granola and almond milk. She prepared healthy food for Michael. Conrad Murray would usually come and get the food and take it to Michael's room. She saw Michael come in the kitchen and he wanted to eat lunch with his children. She said he looked good and it's good to see him. He smiled. She said he seemed happy. The food was tuna seared salad. She prepared the same for Michael to take to his rehearsing because he asked for the same again. When Conrad Murray came down the stairs the next day he was frantic and asked her to get "help, security, Prince." He didn't come further than the stairs. She quickly saw Prince and said for him to go to Conrad Murray because there may be something wrong with Michael. She didn't go to get the security which was near outside the kitchen door. Instead she went back to preparing lunch which is what she was doing when Conrad Murray came. Soon after the security guards came in and the children were crying. -
Kai Chase also carries a phone in her pocket of her chef's clothes because she uses it to check the time when cooking.
Why didn't she use the phone to call for help?
She also said she only has contact for Michael's personal assistant. -
It was odd how she didn't go to security which was not far from the kitchen door. Or call for help with her phone in her pocket. Instead she went back to preparing lunch. Could this have been because she wanted to remain professional and keep doing her job in case Michael was ok and still wanted lunch? She still could've called for help. Or get the security and then go back to preparing lunch. Maybe she was just in shock and didn't know what to do.
BUT COULD THESE ACTIONS HAVE SAVED MICHAEL'S LIFE? -
Michael's personal assistant
There would be fans outside his house. When they left the house, a car would drive where they were going first to check it was ok. Then the personal assistant would go in a car with Michael. He would sit in the front usually with the driver and Michael would sit in the back. A car with security would follow behind his car. There would be fans outside the rehearsal place. The personal assistant would try to watch Michael perform because he was a fan. But usually he had to do other stuff. When they left, the same fans from the rehearsal place would sometimes be outside his house because they drove and got back first. Michael would greet the fans, sign things and they'd take the gifts and stuff. The staff left the gifts inside the house when they came in. The personal assistant never went upstairs unless he was asked to which was rare. It was even rarer for security to go upstairs, they only went if Michael asked them to help with something. When they were at rehearsal, Michael would ask the personal assistant to call to find out if Dr Murray would be at the house when he got back. The doctor stayed overnights a lot. His car was often parked outside the house. The personal assistant doesn't remember being introduced to Dr Murray but he remembers Michael started asking him to call him. Michael had a phone but he didn't always use it and asked the personal assistant to call the doctor for him. -
Michael's personal assistant
Michael is wanting to get to rehearsal on time. He's in good spirits. At the rehearsal, the assistant can watch this rehearsal and he personally thinks it's amazing. He said Michael said he does 30, 40 effort out of 100 for rehearsals. The security talk in a debrief at the end of the day to talk about the day and what they could've done better. The security are based in the trailer but they walk around to open the gates and walk around doing perimeter checks. -
Michael's personal assistant
When Dr Murray asked the personal assistant to be taken back to the house, the assistant talked to the security guard about what to tell the doctor. The personal assistant told him he couldn't take him back because the police had his keys but he made it up because he didn't want to just say no to Dr Murray. Then he called the security at the house and told them not to let anyone in so Dr Murray couldn't get back in. -
Michael's security guard
Michael's security guard had been working for Mr Jackson for 10 months. But he was a driver at first but he got promoted to head of security. His job is to make sure the house is safe and Michael's journeys are planned to be safe. He usually deals with everything with Michael's personal assistant instead of Michael directly. He remembered being introduced to Dr Conrad Murray at some time but he doesn't remember when. He knew the doctor was staying overnight but he didn't know the reason. He saw oxygen tanks that Conrad Murray was using. On Michael's last rehearsal day they left at about 7 to go to the rehearsal place and Michael gets driven on golf carts to his personal room because it's far away. The security make sure there are emergency exits and while he's rehearsing they have a room with food and a tv. -
Michael's security guard
The security guard was able to watch some of the rehearsals this day from several different locations. He thought it was very good and high energy. Mr Jackson was planned to be taken home at 12am. The security guard was driving. Michael and the personal assistant were on the car. Michael told then to stop so he could greet some fans and he took gifts. When they got back at approximately 1am, Dr Murray's car was in the driveway because when the gate opens you can see where his car is parked. They left the gifts at the stairs in the house and Michael says goodbye. The security guard went into the trailer and they did a debrief for 10 or 15 minutes. And then he went home because his shift had ended. The next day he arrived at the house in the am and was going to the bank when the personal assistant called saying "MJ had a bad reaction" and to go upstairs in the house. And the security guard said he wasn't at the house and the personal assistant told him to go back to the house. So when the security guard went back to the house he went into the house but it was so unusual for him to do that, he wasn't sure so he called the personal assistant to make sure. And the personal assistant said "yes go upstairs" and then he went upstairs. -
Michael's security guard
When the security guard went upstairs into Mr Jackson's room he saw another security guard pacing and Dr Murray was near the bed. He could see Michael on the bed. He talked to the other security guard and said "how's it looking" and he said "it's not looking too good". Mr Jackson appeared to be dead.
