In the Wizarding world, they don't teach language, writing, journalism, grammar, math, music, law, etc.
Yet there were jobs for journalists, writers, musicians, lawyers, government, etc.
How exactly? Can just anyone work at the Ministry of Magic? Can just anyone pick up a pen and write for the Dailey Prophet? Can just anyone pick up a brief case and send a criminal to Azkaban?
No wonder the Ministry of Magic got corrupted so easily... -
That is a plot hole.(Wow, great insight, me.)
No wonder they separate themselves from the muggles, not only do they not know a lot about muggle stuffs, they also don't know all sorts of basic things.
One thing I'v always wondered, do they go to school before Hogwarts? Is there a magic elementary school, do they go to muggle elementary school, or do they just not go to school until they're eleven?
I feel like I might have went a bit off topic. -
Google did answer your question. They were either homeschooled by their parents or they were sent to muggle schools.
-
to be fair, hogwarts isn't the only magic school in that universe
-
IHATEMICHAEL NewbieWHAT YOU SEE IS JUST A COVER UP! ITS NOT REALITY
-
True, but it's the only one in Britain, and all the Ministry of Magic workers and reporters are British.
-
How did I forget homeschooling was an option? I'm homeschooled!
That is true, and I didn't mention any other schools because I don't know how similar/different they are to Hogwarts in this regard. -
Actually! There are other schools in Britain, hogwarts is just the best one, or the most elite but it’s a private school, the criteria to be accepted isn’t clear though.
Homeschooling is also an option.
Though it’s also possible to send your children to other schools apparently though that option may only apply to rich purebloods,
I’d imagine they offer more subjects than we know, considering Harry is about as observant as a f---ing wall.
Though it’s entirley possible that there is an equivalent to college.
There’s arthimancy or whatever which is like magic maths, I’d imagine they do teach subjects like those.
We just don’t know about them because of Harry, -
OH s--- YOU'RE HOMESCHOOLED TOO :D
I agree with Puppet that Harry is unobservant. Like the entire reason he likes Ginny is because she's got nice skin. TF!!! HERMIONE IS LITERALLY RIGHT THERE YOU a--hole! But his uncle and aunt were dicks to him so whatever.
Harry Potter is so full of plotholes it's disturbing tho. -
I actually don't ship Harry and Hermione. They're more like brother and sister. Plus there have been signs through out the series that she had a crush on Ron. However I ship Draco and Hermione. Now that would have been interesting.
One plot hole that bugs me is how the f--- did James get Lilly when she obviously should have been with Snape!?!
But yeah I agree that Harry is a tad unobservant. However in his defence he was taught to be blind and mind his own buisness by the Dursley's.
Imagine if people were allowed to use the Harry Potter World to publish actual novels that take place in that universe. Like the story of Rita Skeeter.
Want to know a fun fact that will really make true fans pissed? -
Greetings fellow homeschooler, or not, perhaps it is just early goodbye, who knows. Or maybe late goodbye, that's probably more accurate.
He likes her because she has nice skin? HARRY POTTER IS BUFFALO BILL CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!
Ooooh, I like things that make people angry, I do like myself after all. Anyway yes, I would like to know a thing that is indisputably the case and brings enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure.
Anyway, yeah, plotholes, very true. But don't forget, because of all the plotholes, Harry Potter can be considered a, holy book! Or books, whatever. -
lol
Well, turns out, in the movies, Harry doesn't have green eyes. They are more of a blue.
That can easily be forgivable... however... In the movies... Lilly has brown eyes.
Brown.
So, Snape's DYING WORDS: You really do have your mother's eyes
ARE FALSE!!! -
OH MY TRIANGLES!!!
You're right!
Snape was colorblind all along! -
So was everyone else in the movies that knew Harry's parents.
-
Voldemort cast a colorblindness spell on all of them.
