Thread Topic: Could someone do me a favor?

If anyone has the time, I'd appreciate someone just reading over this essay.
I'm not really looking for a critique or suggestions, more so just looking for mistakes or things that just don't seem right.
I worry that if I only proof-read it myself, I'll miss something. -
Still reading through it (quickly due to my contact being an annoyance)
Did you explain what the Althing was in the beginning and I just missed it? -
It's actually a part of our writing that we don't have to explain certain things. We're supposed to write as if the one reading it has read the text previously. I guess it's more to my professor's POV, since she'll know exactly what and who everything and everyone is.
-
The Althing is basically a gathering of the different regions though. Like, the chieftains and their supporters gather in a place once a year to catch up, hold trials, all sorts of things.
-
Ah, gotcha.
-
You can think of it as a big reunion lol xD
-
seems alright too me.
-
If you still want help I'll read over it after fifth block
-
Thanks, Sylvy~
If you want. It's not due until tomorrow so I have all night to look it over. -
I really like the begging. The hook is well done, and reminds me of a story I just finished reading. c:
The rest seems well done as well, I wish I could completely get the things you were talking about. -
I hope she appreciates the hook as well aha
Yeaaah I'm sorry it's hard to understand when you haven't read Hrafnkel's Saga. x'3
It's pretty short though if you ever wanted to find and pick it up. -
Oooo, I see :o I will see if I can grab it, once I find a library. :|
-
Just a warning, it doesn't have an author. The little book we bought was called "Hrafnkel's Saga and Other Stories"
-
Oh snap o.o
Well then -.- this is harder then I thought. -
I'm sure you'll still be able to find it. It'll either be placed as usual just using the book title, or will be labeled as an anonymous or unknown author. Most libraries have search stations, too.
