Quiet before the storm
A storm is rolling in
The crackle of thunder and screaming winds
Both noises that drown my heavy sobs
Flashes of lightning and the moons haunting glow
Draws my tear filled eyes to the sky
Right as the first drop of rain hits my cheek
Oh how nice
Mother nature has come to join me
Now the sky is crying just as hard as I
Looking up at the grey clouded sky and sitting in the dark
I can tell with eyes and heart
Nothing is clear anymore
Like the quiet before the storm -
"Sticks and Stones"
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can always cut me
Your actions are the knives in my back
Your words are the blades that stab my heart
Your face is now just a nightmare
Your voice is nothing but a haunting scream
Everyone takes your side and joins in
I'm fighting alone in a battle I can't win
There's no one on my side and nowhere to hide
I've been sliced and carved to my soul
Now a shell of my former self all I can say is
Sticks and stones my break my bones
But your words have finally broke me -
"If I Had One Wish"
If I had one wish and only one
I wish I had a chance to change
A chance to change the world's pain
No more tears hidden by the rain
No more bright smiles hiding dark frowns
No more loud music covering silent screams
No more weak lips holding back powerful words
If I had one wish the world would live the way it looks
With beauty, warmth, and magic spread far an wide
I wish I had a chance to change the world from the inside
