Her leg was hurting and she walked slowly up the three flights of stairs. There was a window open on the top landing and a slight breeze ruffled the curtain. There was no bulb in the light fitting which swung gently backwards and forwards, but moonlight shine on the top few steps.
Samantha? Jaime called, her short hair providing no warmth on her neck. Why did she work so hard to portray herself as a male? Better question, why would Samantha ask to meet her here? It was so dark, and Samantha didnt seem like the type of girl who would like it here. A loud cry silenced her mental questions, Samantha!
Despite her aching leg, Jaime darted up the remaining stairs and recoiled in horror to the sight before her. There lay Samantha in a gory mess of blood and entrails, her once beautiful blonde hair and tan skin splotched with blood. A small cry scratched its way out of Jaimes quivering lips as she hit her knees. Why Samantha? What did Samantha do to deserve this?
She was just about to run for help when she felt a cold cylindrical object press against the back of her head. She tensed as she realized the smooth metal was the barrel of a gun. There was a fit of laughter, the sound being quite masculine. Then another voice joined in, nearly the same. Thats when she seen the tanned lanky male she knew so well. Tears filled her eyes as her eyes caught sight of the blood that splattered his face and Nike shirt.
Thank you for meeting me so willingly, Jackson purred, twirling a large knife, It saves us the trouble of trying to find you, isnt that right, Al? Another chuckle came from behind her.
Jackson Alphonse You killed Samantha...? And Charlie? Jaime whimpered, the tears rolling like rives. The was a nod from Jackson and Jaime felt pure dread well up inside of her. Why? Why did you do it? She screamed, desperate for an answer.
Did you seriously think we were your friends, Jaime? After what your mother did to Father? Were only doing it for revenge, and watching you suffer is the best revenge one can get. Tormenting your mind before making you plead for us to kill you its intoxicating, Al chucked darkly, Now that weve broken your spirit, were going to break your body until you wish you were dead.
