On your outermost being
See what you feel
Say what you can't
Show what's underneath
on the flesh of walls -
A glance
A touch
O' the things you do
that drive me mad
A smile
A hug
To be so far
makes me sad
A laugh
A kiss
I want to encircle you
in my love
A wave
A tear
This string no long
holds the gentle dove -

At how bright they shine for you

Feel the solid ground
That holds us so close

Hear the wind howl

Taste the adventure
Waiting to be taken away

Let me trace the curves of your body
The dips and heights of your curves
Every bump of your skin
Even the curve of your smile
Let me feel the real you
Bare from judging eyes
Every weakness and flaw you have
The raw beauty of you -

The scars
The insecurities
All from the wars

I've been writing lyrics but I can't sing or get a rhythm so...
Insomnia
I can't sleep
These blinding thoughts
Shining through the dark
The movie reel on replay
Never ending snapshots
Freeze frames
Pictures not perfect
One after the other
My minds running a marathon
without a finish line
A treadmill of anxiety
circling and turning
Ever unrelenting
I can't get out of my head
I just want to go to bed
This insomnia's got me
up all night
Going through the reruns of my mistakes
That one time
seven years ago
I get up in five hours
the time slowly counting down
I'll be awake for the rest of my life
Sleepless nights
one after the other
But for once I want
to close my eyes for a second
without painful reminders
I can't sleep
