Most people will tell you that love is caring for someone else. Having strong feelings towards something or someone. They give you an out-of-the-book definition and think stupidly that it is accurate.
I don't think you can define love for someone else, because every person is so unique that no two people love the same way. People build love off of strong moments, off of their own emotions. So I could define what love is for me, but I don't think I could define love itself.
Love, for me, is the little smile when I get a message from her. It's staying up late to talk, and then glancing at the clock and realizing it's three in the morning and you still haven't run out of things to say. Love is her name on my lips before I fall asleep, it is her face in my thoughts as I wake up. Love, for me, is trust. Love is holding on through tearful nights knowing that it will get better. It's looking at her picture because she's just so beautiful, and love is the little ache that comes with knowing that she doesn't think so. Love is the color of her eyes and love is the sound of her voice.
But that's only for me. And the idea that each person has their own moments and their own definition of love, even if it's just one memory, is amazing. -
