When I was in elementary school I started reading this chapter book, but I never finished it because I lost it. I don't remember what the tittle was, and I only got to about chapter three.
All I remember, i'm sorry it's been five years, is that it was about a young boy that had a abusive drunken father who would hit him all the time. The reason why he would do that is because the mother died. Then one day when the teacher of the boy saw the bruises she asked what was happening. I think I remember reading that the boy lied to the teacher by saying it was done in his karate classes. The teacher went to talk to the father, but after the teacher left the father beat the son again. -
