Johnny Cade by midnightkobra
He was just too young
And through his eyes
He could see he was being flung
Into a nightmare in disguise.
Even at his own house
He was constantly being abused.
And as timid as a little mouse
He had little more to lose.
Then that horrible night came
Where he took the young man's life
He knew he wouldn't have done the same
If he hadn't had that knife.
So then he ran away
With the friend that he had saved
He didn't know that in a few days
He would become very brave.
He dashed across the dirt
And saved the children from the fire
But he also got badly hurt
And his situation became dire.
And then he was told
About how close he was to death
So he told his friend to stay gold
Before he took his last breath.
