"Hey!"
I kept on walking, she had nothing to say. Nothing I hadn't heard too many times to want to hear, anyway.
"Hannah! Please, just listen! Come back to the car, and-"
"And what? And we can sit trapped in the broken down car and talk about that god-forsaken drunk?" I was furious. "You have a husband!"
"Your father isn't coming back!" My mother was screaming now.
"Oh yeah? Then what's stopping me from walking into the road right now?" I had stopped, and my mother ran her fingers through my blonde hair.
"Oh Hannah, you remind me of him everyday," she started. "My mother warned me he'd leave me, and we'd be fighting like this,"
In fact, my grandmother had mentioned something when he up and dissapeared six years ago. I looked out over the highway.
"I love you, and I always will..." The way my father said the words made me believe him, but he still left.
Craig pulled up with his truck.
"Thank god I found you two!" He wasn't really a drunk, I just never payed attention to him before now.
Mom got in the front seat, so I got in the backseat. "You girls are all I have, you know," I was crying.
Why did dad leave? Why hasn't he called? The last I heard of him was from a friend of his, Frank. When I was little, Frank would pick me up by my feet and tickle them, but that time he was solem.
"Mark's gone," He had said. I can't remember smiling since then. Have I made a mistake? I might've. But today, tomorrow, and forever, I won't smile until I find Dad. -
Nice. Is this going to be a story? If so, I'll read. ^_^

Sure, I'll continue)
The car ride was hell. Mom and Craig talked like I wasn't there. That's when I saw the car.
It had started to shower, and then rain steadily increased. The car behind us would flash a blinker, then disapear behind some other cars for a few minutes before flashing it's blinker again.
"Mom!" I leaned forward and tapped her shoulder. "I think the guy behind us wants us to pull over."
The guy passed us, then stopped suddenly.
Craig slammed on the brakes.
"What the-" We spun to the side of the road. The tow truck with moms car continued on, and we were left behind.
"Who was that?" Mom asked.
"It might've been one of Mark's friends, recognized the truck..." Craig started.
"My father kept good company, thankyouverymuch!"
"Hannah!" Mom`s voice went shrill.

Dinner was quiet. Craig tried to make small talk, but I still glared at Mom.
"I'm done." I put my plate in the sink.
"Then you can go to your room." Mom retorted.
What am I, five? I kept the thought in my head as I trudged to my room.
My room. The place he said he loved me.
