Name: Emi Akamine
Age: 15
Ethnicity: Japanese
Title: Super High School Level Drummer
Height: 5'7
Weight: 130 lbs.
Birthday: March 21st (Aries)
Sexuality: Lesbian
Appearance: Emi is a slightly-tanned skin girl with deep fuchsia colored eyes with smoky-colored eyeshadow and dark purple hair that is short on the left side but the rest is brushed over and cascades down to her back on the right. She is 5'7 tall and weighs 130 lbs. As for the clothing, she wears a one-sleeved black shirt that is long enough to cover her right hip and is mildly ripped near the chest area, displaying a text that reads, "ROCK". Under the one-sleeve reveals a burgundy bra with red polka dots.Unfortunately enough, Emi is only yet a B cup.She wears shorts that show under the shirt and go a couple inches down further with a light and blue ti-di pattern. For the shoes, they are light silver flats with a red vertical stripe going down the center of the outer side of each flat. Emi also has a silver stud on her tongue and a beauty mark right beside the left side of her nose.
Visual Appearance
Personality: Emi is mostly sarcastic, cynical and pessimistic. She always has something negative to say about any situation and is most of the time unimpressed and bored with the environment around her. She almost always questions the people in her surroundings and has a hard time trusting others. But deep inside, Emi is sensitive and vulnerable. This, however, doesn't show because she's mastered hiding her feelings when she feels it is appropriate. When you do finally pull her out of her hard shell and become her best friend, Emi becomes clingy and affectionate, almost loving towards you. She also has a soft spot for cute things.
History: Emi grew up having a well-off life because when she was three, her father won the lottery. The money ran out when she was ten, and because her father was irresponsible and didn't pay taxes, he had to file for bankruptcy and his wife left him, leaving Emi to live her tween and teen years without a mother. Since then, after being so spoiled, Emi fell into "depression" and then pulled the "I'm a special snowflake" thing.
During this angsty time, she and her father moved into a small apartment and soon afterwards she discovered punk rock and alternative music. Emi began to listen to it more and more, becoming really interested with the genre. While she was in middle school, Emi didn't have any friends because she thought that "nobody understood her". But alas, she found a small group of teenagers from a high school close by and quickly befriended them. The teenagers were also like her, punk-rocky and stuff. The teenagers had formed a band shortly before they met Emi, and with their slight musical experience they taught her how to play the electric guitar and drums. When their drummer quit the band because he had to move, the teenagers asked Emi to be their new drummer and she did.
Emi and her new best friends played miniature concerts for the neighborhood near the high school and even a couple concerts sold out because they got so popular - mostly due to the fact that everybody thought it was cute that a "little girl" (in their eyes) was playing the drums. Even students from Emi's middle school came to the concerts whenever they could afford to go. With some of the money that they earned, Emi spent her own buying herself a pet, and she couldn't resist when she noticed the rabbit, so she got one. She named the rabbit Usa-Usa (Bun-Bun).
When Hope's Peak Academy noticed the band, the high schoolers had already either graduated or dropped out, and Emi was 14 by this time, so they invited her to the academy. Her dad sent her away to the academy, but with even more time, Emi still goes through this, what she hates people call, "phase".
Trivia:
- Emi (eh-mee) translates to "beautiful painting" or "beautiful blessing" while Akamine (ack-uh-mine) translates to "red peak" or "red ridge".
- Emi's e-Handbook states that she likes sour, spicy and foreign food and taking walks at night and dislikes silence and popular, "preppy" people.
- Emi, while still living the good life, was still interested in things she found classy, which included the French language. She took on learning some of it but forgot most of it during her personality and physical transition.
- The band that Emi joined before being sent to Hope's Peak Academy was supposedly called "Black Angels" after all of the members agreed on it, but it wasn't entirely verified because they never referred to themselves as "Black Angels", they just called themselves "our band". Whether or not the band is still active is unknown.
- Despite being a lesbian, Emi has no problem with kissing men or even participating in sexual activities with them, but still holds an extremely heavy preference for women. -
While I'm still developing her, I'd like to add to her personality.
"Even though she doesn't have too many friends, Emi can be quite witty and charming around people she's most comfortable with, and in some cases crack a joke or two." -
How did she become a lesbian?
Well, her first kiss was with the school weirdo in 6th grade, Michi Kurosawa, who was also curious about girls. Surprisingly, though reluctant at first, Emi liked the kiss, and eventually began to think about Michi that way. Emi and Michi dated for a month before Michi ended it to be with another girl (because after the kiss with Emi she apparently thought she was a playa). This made Emi heartbroken, but as life went on she had a couple more girlfriends and began to be sexually attracted to girls, completely ignoring boys by this time. Since she came out, she's dated one boy but felt weird about it, then continued to like girls. Right now? She's single. -
Emi's hair isn't naturally purple. She was born with chocolate brown hair.

Oh, I just contradicted myself, didn't I? Saying she was comfortable with boys but then dated one and felt weird about it? Hm... let's just say that she felt more comfortable with them over time.
-
Like, she got more comfortable with them in the sense that she can talk to girls like that with them. It just eased her a bit, I guess? Now she doesn't mind them.
-
Maybe I should make her particularly fond of plaid shirts. I could imagine she'd look good in them.
-
I'm changing her birthday to April 21st. She seems more like a Taurus.
-
I'm taking out the part where she's fine with kissing dudes and stuff. That seems contradictory to her sexuality.
