"Uuugh.. I should ask Foxy to make me a peg leg or something, I really need it.." Bruce mumbled, his eyes squinting in the darkness of the room.
The poor little bat had his only hand on the wall beside him, balancing on one foot. He always had to struggle to walk. Ever since that day had occurred, he hadn't been able to walk without major assistance. It upset him, because it made him feel useless. He always stumbled over something, he couldn't ever get anywhere on his own, and not even Mike had bothered to try to help him.
The blue-haired man let out a high-pitched screech as he lost his balance. He closed his eyes, his hand flying to cover his face. He couldn't see the floor well, and for all he knew, it was covered with things that could injure him. He prepared himself to hit the floor. Before he fell, he felt someone wrap their arms around his waist and pull him up. He turned his head, his glowing purple eyes looking quite startled. He was met face to face with a set of glowing blue eyes.
"Freddy!?" Bruce stammered, his eyes wide. Freddy silently led him out of the room, into one with much brighter lights. Once the lights hit his face, he looked down at Bruce. He gave the younger a toothy grin. "Brucey. It's nice to see you."
"..Well, it's not nice to see you.. Although I thank you for catching me, I don't really want to see you--" Bruce was cut off as he was shoved down onto the floor, hard. He yelped, tears instantly swarming in his eyes. Freddy smiled down at him, sitting on his waist. "No need to thank me now, hmm? Now I'm the one that made you fall, not yourself."
Bruce gawked up at the bear, his eyes wide. He was terrified of Freddy, and this only brought him back to his first beating. Was Freddy going to do it again? What had Bruce done to deserve it now? "P-Please, get off of me.." He turned his head away, staring at everything except for Freddy.
"I think not, Brucey. You see, I couldn't help but think about you all day.. You see, some kids have been looking for you. And I thought, why would they care about a stupid bat like you? Your arm was amputated, your ear bitten off, you're even missing a foot. You're hideous. So why would they care about something like you?" Freddy placed his hand on Bruce's chest, sighing deeply. He trailed a finger up to Bruce's cheek. "You have a cute voice.. I love it, just like they do.. But you were going to replace me. I can't have that, you see.. I need you to just stay in the background, playing your little old drum and letting us, the real stars, shine. So just stay at the bottom, okay?"
Freddy stood up, closing his eyes. He brought his foot up, slamming it down on Bruce's neck. Bruce squealed, closing his eyes tightly. The foot moved away from his neck and slammed down on his stomach. He couldn't squeal once more, his throat was hurting too bad. He opened his eyes, his mouth opening. He was stomped on time after time, all in different places. By the time someone called Freddy to the stage, he was coughing up blood and struggling to breathe.
Before Freddy left, he blew Bruce a kiss, and headed down a hallway. Bruce laid there on the floor, tears dripping down his face. He couldn't move his body, and there was so much blood all over his face and he floor that he felt like he'd throw up with the stench. He felt so tired, so empty.
Minutes later, he heard shouting coming from someone.. A child, perhaps? No, it was a security guard. And they were yelling for help. His eyes widened as he saw strange people come running towards him. They had a symbol on their pure white clothing, it looked like a plus sign, though he wasn't sure why they had it. He felt panicked as they picked him up and rushed him out of the room. He was lead to an exit. What was happening? They weren't throwing them out, where they? They must be, because Bruce was never allowed out of the pizzeria.
"No! Let me go, let me go!" Bruce yelled, trying to get away. Yelling hurt so badly, but he didn't want to leave. He felt at home there. One of them pulled something out- it shimmered in the light. A needle? Before he could decide on what it was, it was shoved into his arm. He whimpered, closing his eyes. The pain was going away.. He passed out against his will, his surroundings turning into darkness.

When Bruce woke up, he was in an unfamiliar place. There were bright lights all over the place, and the walls were light colors. He saw machines all over the place, and beds lined up in the room he was in. Groaning, he placed his hands on the bed and pushed himself up. Wait, hands?
The bat pulled up his arms, staring down at his hands. Where there hadn't been anything was a beautiful shining hand, similar to Foxy's. Though, this one looked realistic. It looked just like his left hand, that had real flesh. This one was plastic and it shined in the light. He moved it, a grin on his face. It felt so real, and it made him very happy.
He moved the blanket and noticed that he also had a replacement foot. It looked like it was made out of the same thing that his arm was made out of, but it was still there. On his body. He wondered if he would be able to walk with it.
While admiring his body, someone walked into his room with the security guard following him. Bruce's ears twitched. He peered at them both, his hands on the railing of the bed. He listened in to their conversation. It seemed like the doctor was getting after him for not getting Bruce here sooner for his replacement arm and foot.. And that they weren't clear on how Bruce had been beat up. He decided he wouldn't speak to them. Freddy had gotten him on purpose, he knew it.. He wasn't sure whether he was grateful or upset.
Many hours later, Bruce was finally able to leave the place. He found out that his foot did work, and that he was able to dance around like he used to. The security guard didn't seem to appreciate his behavior (likely because he was forced to drag the bat into a taxi and had to deal with him complaining about it the whole car ride back to the pizzeria.) By the time they got back, Bruce had sang five songs and looked like he was still very energetic.
The guard lead him to the back entrance, leading him to the rest of the team. It was almost nighttime now, and the last of the children were leaving. Everyone except Freddy was there. He proudly showed off his new artificial body parts to them, to which he was rewarded with pats and dance competitions. It was very fun, and he couldn't remember when he had last felt it.
When the others went to go sleep, Bruce went over to the stage to admire all of the instruments and such. His own set of drums had been moved to the front, though he didn't pay much attention to it. He went to his seat and sat there, playing around with it.
Freddy entered the room, admiring the bat's music. He walked towards the bat, silent. He didn't speak until Bruce stopped playing the song he was playing. "Beautiful, Brucey.. It's been so long since I've last heard you play.." He pulled up a chair, sitting beside Bruce. Bruce glanced up at Freddy, not daring to speak to him. Freddy smiled at him, putting his chin in his hand. "You can speak, you know."
"Thank you.." He closed his eyes, opening them again. It was then that he realized that his drum set had been moved to the front. He stood, staring at Freddy. "I thought you didn't want me in the limelight!" The younger's pale purple eyes were filled with fear and confusion. Freddy stood as well, the smile sticking to his face. "Not during showtime, no. But now that everyone has left, I think that we should be able to do our very own duet. Please, my little Brucey, do me the honor of playing a song with me. You owe me." -
