Thread Topic: something worth saying?
-
I've hit a serious dead end with writing. Literature is the contemplative means of communication that is essentially thought itself. The ability to think in language is one of the major factors that seperates our intellect from other intelligent species on earth, and love writing.
But there is no point in writing without something to say. There's no reason for the ability if you can't actually convey something worth being said, and lately im struggling with finding that concept.
What's actually WORTH being said? My and others emotional response can be logically calculated and cataloged, and when it comes down to it, emotions are personal anyway. With no real bearing on others. Any meaning a person derives from empathy is their own mind chosing to create a hormonal situation in their body, and its not up to you-the story teller-. Emotion is uncontrollable, and truth and beauty are both, as far as humanity is concerned a matter of opinion.
Besides this, even if there was something to say, why should I? Even if a person could relate a logical, beneficial, truly original thought, why should they? What REAL reason is there to say anything at all? If you could save the human race from some perceived stress, why should you really?
And the fact is, no matter what is said, its truth is debatable. Even gravity is open to interpretation.
non productivity is impossible, so there MUST be an answer somewhere. The only thing with absolute and inherint value is our own perceptions, so finding the answer is imperatively valuable.
