_Leah_ NewbieI need you guys to tell me if an idea I have is plagerized... AND DAMN ENTER BUTTON.
-
_Leah_ NewbieI really don't notice it. Like, I guess when I hear certain types of plots or characters, or even titles, my mind forgets to file it under "SOMEBODY ELSE'S" and instead files it under "LEAH'S UNUSED GOOD IDEAS". I really hate that I do that. I'm telling you, if I write something, it's almost always been done before. I have this one idea, and it seems a bit familiar, so I need to make sure it's mine before I use it by asking you guys. (Oh, and please don't be offended if it was your ideas or even somebody else's. I just won't use it. I'm really sorry, but I can't help it. Be glad I asked.)
Well, it isn't exactly all planed out, but I have the title and main character.
Title: RARITY
Main character: A girl named Rarity. She has red hair and purple eyes, and she's brave and courages, and unafraid to speak her mind. She has two sisters, and she's the oldest. Actually, she has a twin, but not a twin by looks. Her twin envies her. She does not have any parents, but I haven't figured out just why yet. She has the power to make you want to beleive and follow her. She's unexplainably beautiful.
If it is mine so far, the plot will probably belong to someone else. Again, please don't be offended by it. Be glad I at least asked. -
_Leah_ NewbiePLEASE IF YOU DONT ANSWER IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND WRITE IT

Was used before.

The power thing was in a show I loved.

Just because a concept was used before doesn't mean you can't write about it, it just means it's less original.
Like vampires. -
Everything ever written and that ever will be written is plagiarized in some form. Do not worry about it. The difference is in what you bring to the genre.
That said, a character cannot carry a story on their own. Unless you've got an actual plot stuffed up your plot, I wouldn't go anywhere near a pen with this idea.
