bananabread NoviceScreaming. As much as the facts of that day has faded, the screaming remains. It always remains.
The day my father died has no longer stayed with me but I do remember some things. I remember waking up to my mother screaming for help. I remember staring at her shaking my dad, trying to shake him awake.
Later that night or rather early in the morning, hearing the song 1,2,3,4 by the Plain White T's and dedicating it to him. Finding out the news of his death was the hardest thing for me. bananabread Novice"Daisy, you need to wake up. It's important, there's something you need to know," a voice beckons to me, while someone is shaking my shoulder. I'm groggy as the face comes into view. "You listening?" I nod in response. "You've been chosen,"
The news makes me stop my stretching and face my care taker. "Did you just say what I think you said?" I ask and sit up quickly look at the placid face of the human simulated robot.
"You've been chosen for the advancement, Daisy," -
bananabread NoviceI hold out my hand and my caretaker places a R.V.S. on it. I run to the TV and plug it into the input. After a quick assimilation the message starts to play.
"Hello, today is a very big day for you. Who ever is receiving this message has been chosen to advance into the higher education route. Your caretaker will give you all that is needed for your trip to the school and the rest will be provided once you've gotten there. Thank you, and may your career be furthered." Said the recording of Chancellor Mentiens.
