'Dennis!' 'Dennis Bakker!' I heard someone yell. I turned around and saw a tiny man. 'Could you tell us about your story of the war?' 'No.' I replied. 'No i can't.' I walked back to my appartment. I looked out of te window, and thought of it.
I felt the pressure of walking on the streets. It was dark. It seemed like there was no one but me. A mouse quickly ran before my feet. 'disgusting' i said to myself. Why did i even go here? Yes, to see Melony. The only thing that possibly could get me over here.
'Dennis!' A familiar voice called. I turned around to see Melony. 'Hey!' I said. She grabbed my arm and pulled me to a dirty alley. I opened my mouth, but she layed a finger on it. 'Nobody may see us out here, in the streets.' she whispered. 'Why not.' I said with a loud voice to tease her. She looked a bit mad for a second, then she explained: 'Kids here are already saying we're a couple.' I pushed her away from me and walked out of the alley. 'Is that all?' -
Melony followed me. 'Who cares what others think.' I said. 'Other people care what other people think.' She giggled. I laughed a bit. 'Shouldn't we go to my house?' I asked. 'Alright.' She replied.
After a long walk we reached the gates of the big house. I opened the front door. And she looked around surprised. I was used to this, but she was used to sharing one room with her entire family. And that room was much worse than this. I met her on the market. She was selling matches for a low price. I felt bad and bought some. But before we knew it we had a conversation. -
