leaves that burst in whirlwind of color
fire in the chilly air
golden, burnt, maroon
crown of splendour for the earth
autumn falls -
My body falls away to nothing,
I watch the snow lightly fall,
Like angels screaming from heaven,
Like God shan't answer their calls.
The trees haunt me as if they plan to attack,
I shiver there, my blood gone cold,
I'll be standing here for a long time,
Even when I grow frail and old. -
THERE is something in the autumn that is native to my blood aster' touch of manner, hint of mood; And my heart is like a rhyme, With the yellow and the purple and the crimson keeping time.Â
The scarlet of the maples can shake me like a cry of bugles going by. And my lonely spirit thrills To see the frosty asters like a smoke upon the hills. Â
There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir; We must rise and follow her, Â
When from every hill of flame She calls and calls each vagabond by name. -
I sit and pray, as snow leaves its mark on the ground, like little angels whom come tumbling down.
the world is my reflection, or I, a tragic parody of it.
the snow is white and blank. pure. the sky is grey and unrelenting. harsh.
I sit and pray, oh dear lord, if god is wam then why is my heart do cold? -
is that one of yours musik?
