Well as many of you know my dad was in the U.S. army all my life, so up until about 2 years ago that's how I lived. When I was 3 to 6 years old, I was fortunate enough to live in Okinawa, Japan, where he got stationed. :3 I loved it. I really enjoyed just being exposed to that different culture while being so young.
Now there has been a lot of talk about if the U.S. bases should stay open there (there are several bases, on just a small island ._.), and I'm siding with the Japanese. We've basically been taking over their island trying to 'protect' them. Plus there has been a lot of misconduct on the U.S. side that has hurt Japanese citizens. I feel like we should just leave the island, or at least take away most of our military presence, and let the Okinawans be Okinawan. If they really need our help, we should be good allies and send troops there WHEN THEY ACTUALLY NEED HELP.
So despite my own experience, I think this would be the best thing for the island. -

dw1996 NewbieWe should probably pull out all of our bases in Japan and Germany. There's no reason for us to be there.

Yeah, WW2's over, and they're are allies nowadays anyway. xP

True.
I remember seeing a picture that asked if I'd feel threatened by Iraqi military bases surrounding the US, and I definitely agree.
