For the murder and disappearance numbers, I've seen various different numbers but 13 dead and 43 missing is the most common report. Feel free to correct me as my translations can be a bit off.
These students were receiving education regarding communism at a university in Mexico, and that day they were on a bus travelling to a different city. Nothing terrible, nothing illegal. They were detained by Mexican police, according to locals of the particular area. Of course, PRI (Mexico's most powerful political party atm) and police blames it on traff---ers, but locals report that police were engaging in suspicious activity in an uninhabited area near the mountains where 13 bodies of students were later recovered.
Students were supposedly made to dig their own graves before the police murdered them and buried them. The other 43 still remain missing.
Of course, because of Mexico's government, they will most likely not even get a slap to the wrist. -
