When threads get locked for inactivity, do you guys actually manually lock them, or is there an internal timer to lock them after two months or whatever the timeframe is?
Just wondering because when threads are requested to be locked, it says which mod locked it and why, but not for inactive threads.
I'm just being nosy that's all.
Sorry I'll shut up now -
I'm not a mod but....
It's automated. It's on a timer. -
we can lock and unlock threads manually but after a certain amount of inactivity they are automatically locked
-
All right thanks ^~^
I have to say that the locking threads for inactivity is a brilliant idea (even though it's been a feature for about two years now) because I'm sure y'all remember those days when newbies, including myself, would bump five-year-old threads for no real reason, to the great irritation of others. So thanks to GTQ Guy for adding that :) -
How long does something need to be inactive to be locked?
-
I think it's two months.
-
it's three months, if I'm not mistaken
This thread is locked, therefore no new posts can be made.
