I believe we should have some kind of way to tell if a person is off or online, and when they were active last, this would be really be helpful for anyone really I just though of this because I hate waiting around for someone to post on roleplays or soaps *sigh*

You already can tell when someone was last active, if you click on their profile:)

someone may be on the site but not posting, kind of like lurking. i think that's what yoi morgan meant. but at the same time, i'm sure people don't want other people to know they're online. i think it could be good for when someone needs a mod and they know who to contact when they have an issue. but like i said, it's a little bit of an invasion of privacy i guess? i'm a bit torn.

It could cause a lot of drama, for one.
For two, even if you were able to toggle whether or not it shows you're active, the whole idea seems a bit unnecessary. I doubt that many people would use it. The feature would just kind of...be there. If you really need a mod, you can just make a thread asking for one. The idea is nice I suppose, but would it really add that much to the forums? Would it really improve them very much? I say no, it wouldn't. -
