I remember back when the idea of a GTQ friends list was first offered. You asked us to describe what we wanted in a friends list and it seemed like every member of GTQ offered a different suggestion.
I hope I can offer this as a final suggestion on the matter. Something to clarify the jumble of confussion from us to you while still keeping it to the basics.
The idea behind a GTQ friends list would be very simple. My idea behind it would be a link on each members home page. From there the members could add in five to ten friends to have in their friends list. The use of a friends list would be to keep the members updated on when those people were last active, and possibly what their last few posts were. The hope behind this would be that people on here who have grown into close friends could keep tabs on each other without having to search the forums for a post that person made.
