Are you talking about the UBB codes?
If so, then you just type the brackets before and after whatever you want bolded/underlined/struck out/etc.
So to get this you would type [b ]this[ /b] without spaces, and [i ]this[ /i] for italics, and < s >this< /s> forstrike-out -

No you do it without the spaces and you used thee other slash Thanks! [b ] Thanks! [/b ] (Without spaces)
