You don't have to make polls to level up, no. In fact, I don't think polls give you any exp towards your bar.

Thanks! Oh and I have another question. Sorry. I've take very many quizzes, comented on most of them, and made 5 quizzes. Plus, posted tons and tons on the forums. And people 27 at the most, took my quizzes. But I'm still not on junior. Why is this?
