Another thing that sucks balls is some of them- no matter how many posts are deleted- the accounts still stand. So even while we ARE taking care of the job, nothing is being done. I can assure you we've attempted to delete all of the accounts before. It's really difficult for us though. ;;

Yeah it is because we've gone through dozens of posts and the account won't delete. How about you try it right now with your offensive button? Notice how you don't do s---? Yeah I wouldn't say anything if I were you lol

It does work but what I'm pointing out is that if it's hard for you all imagine how FRUSTRATING it is for us when we're actually doing the job and the account still stands

We can't do s--- at all. If we actually had the power to atleast mark a post gray, we would all do it, but the offensive button no longer works for regular user because they insist on making it exclusive for moderators.

We can talk because even though you have deletion feature you still can't get rid of the spammers better yet the system even f---ing failed once and you didn't want to inform anyone of it and you just let users sit in the junk with no awareness of why anything isn't getting taken care of. Sure, it wasn't working and yes the spammers would have taken advantage of it but it wouldn't really matter since once you gained the feature back and the system was up then you guys could have done whatever and got rid of the extra spam.
If they actually reactivated the feature we would get rid of more spam posts than most of you could ever find and pay attention to. -

The reason it's not anywhere near as powerful is because people would abuse the power. They've done it before, that's why the feature was taken away in the first place.

If there's spam and you're not notifying us about it, that's not on us. We can't be on every thread at every second of our lives. If you see spam you should report it instead of complaining we aren't doing our jobs right.
And yes, we didn't tell anyone to protect them from the spam. It worked, did it not? There was only one instance of spam while our power was down because we kept our mouths shut. I'd say we did the right thing. There is a reason why we're the moderators and we have a higher deletion weight. We have common sense and we think about the best thing to do during a situation. Even if we were to go back in time, we wouldn't change our minds about what we did. We were right to do it. So that argument has nothing on us.
Also, yes, we can't delete some accounts right away. That's not on us. I'd rather like for you to not insult how hard we're working for this forum. Yes pushing a button isn't hard but we're still a bit confused about the new system and it's just another aspect of a job. Getting new things to deal with. The spam accounts will eventually delete but until then all we can do is mark recent spam made by said accounts and hope it deletes soon. -

If a regular user marks a ton of spam, their buttons stop working for a good week or two before they can mark again
