GTQ was built gradually over the years, eventually becoming a mess of code running on somewhat out-dated software. I've since cleaned up the mess and have been testing things out on a test server with the latest MySQL database and PHP 7. Now the plan is to officially move the site over to this new server running the new code.
Not a whole lot is different in terms of functionality. Mainly it's code behind the scenes that has changed. There are also some visual updates to the site, and proper handling of mobile devices (except on existing quizzes that don't use the newest styles). The changes I've made will make it easier for me to add new features to the site in the future.
When I do the update, there is going to be some down-time. I have to transfer over the GTQ database to the new server (takes time, lots of data) and change the DNS, but I don't expect an outage longer than say 6 hours. I'll be doing it late at night as well.
I'll post about specific times in a few days! Then after the update you guys can let me know if you encounter any problems from the changes.Admin -

GTQ Guy. I am wondering when you are going to pick some more moderators. I would love to be one and help monitor this sight with the other mods. How do I become a mod though? -

Still, I would like something to do on my time here. I have nothing else to do besides look through here. How many mods are on 24/7, even through late night times?
