Probably a stupid suggestion, idk really, but hear me out at least. The decision ultimately comes down to the mods, but If I may suggest? I think that from ranks newbie to novice, the offensive button should get removed. (Meaning ranks from junior to above get the button) I'm not targeting any newer users, don't get me wrong, but personally, I think it could help with the problem that people are having. I tend to think at times there are some random people that click the offensive button just because they don't like a certain person.
But then again, there are the users that are Newbies and Novices, that actually DO try to get rid of spam and trolls.
Probably not the best suggestion, but, whatever. Post what you think. -
Nah. Getting rid of it wouldn't be fair. Plus, they don't place much effect so there's no point.

Also, newbies don't even have the offensive option.

Well, people's posts are randomly getting marked. And I know I seem like a dick for assuming it to be the newbs, but, in my own opinion, I feel like that because they are new and don't necessarily know everyone/how everyone behaves and jokes around, they tend to get more offended easier, and probably mark post. Maybe I'm wrong.

The offensive system we have currently is set up not only by rank but by ip address. Their rank is so low that, as Albie mentioned, their marks wouldn't do so much damage to a higher ranked account.

I agree. Maybe I shouldn't have targeted them. Or made it seem like it. Not my intention.
