Users have been reporting that GoToQuiz will open up to a gray or black page that reads "GoToQuiz.com" and "privacy" before being redirected to a page filled with ads and/or a virus announcement.
Notes so far:
-This is affecting certain IP addresses. You may not have seen this, but if you have, use a proxy to be able to get on properly.
-No matter what device you use (phone, laptop, tablet, computer, DSi, Wii, anything) or what brand it is (Apple, Microsoft, Toshiba, blackberry, ect.), it WILL direct you to this page if your IP address has been affected. You could be on a f---ing toaster and guess what? You'll be pulled up to the page if you're being affected.
-The GoToQuiz logo on the top left corner will disappear before you're redirected from GTQ.
-It seems to stop sending you to the page at random moments.
-It also does not matter if you're on a different web browser. Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, all of these browsers that YOU use on YOUR IP will not let you on. It's as simple as that. -
Also note that I have emailed GTQ Guy a list of users affected, and I'm going to send another with new screenshots you all can get me, so if you see this for the first time do not be alarmed. When you can get on, let me know so I can add you to the list of those with an affected IP address and email the new list to GTQ Guy.

When exactly does this happen, and on what page? How long has this been going on?

It happens whenever we try to open up GoToQuiz. Whether it's a bookmarked page or you type in the web address "" in the address bar, it takes us to a completely different site masked under the GoToQuiz domain. This has been happening since Tuesday I believe. I emailed you some screenshots and a list of users who's IPs have been taken for this issue. Sometimes we'll be able to get online, but most of the time we get redirected to a different page with ads.

So it's ongoing and consistent? Accessing from a different IP address fixes it, but using your normal IP address triggers the problem again? Does it always happen right away, or randomly as you are clicking links (such as forum threads)? Did it start around the same time for all of those who are affected? Do you remember the exact page you were loading when it happened the very first time?
This is strange because so far I haven't found anything out of the ordinary that could cause this problem, nor have I experienced it myself. -

Exactly. Yes, getting onto GoToQuiz through a proxy makes the site look perfectly fine and functions about as good as it can get with one, but whenever I or other users get on without one we are directed to the ad pages. For me, it depends. Sometimes, when I try to get on through my various bookmarks (right away) it pulls up ads. Other times, I'm able to get to the front page and scroll through the forums for a short period of time before it randomly starts redirecting. The first person who reported this was a user d_h, and a few hours later another user emailed me before I started to get the issue too. It seems like it's slowly spreading through users but the majority were affected mere hours between each other. Yes, and I can give you a link to it if you'd like. However, all of us were clicking completely different pages when it started, so I doubt it'll be much help.
This is a bit concerning. We all go on this site alone together, and this virus/ad issue uses your domain to get at us. I wish I could say it's from another webpage but it's not. -
