Wtf all my downloaded pictures won't show up now and that stupid square is the only thing in my downloads folder?? Help someone?

Try searching your computer for one of the downloaded photos if you remember the name.

I'm on a tablet - they automatically download to a folder called "downloaded photos" and I just deleted the square and now my whole folder is empty. I have no idea how to get them back.
