  Basically, r9k basically prevents any two posts from being exactly the same. Putting it on the more serious forums could actually encourage more intelligent conversations.

  Basically all he'd have to do is query the database with "Select * from posts where text ='text';"
  If at least 1 row is returned then post time is upped by say, 5 seconds and the post wouldn't submit.
  
  This would stop spam and idjits.
