A person changes his name twice. Simple as that.

YC allows someone to change their name, genius. It's called "that name is taken", a very common and often used function on all websites that require a sign up.

Who cares about your original name when you've changed it?
When someone changes his name then the name won't be his anymore so "the name isn't taken" after that. -

Whatever. I just notice that people always have to make a new account if they want a name change. But what the fuck ever. Jerkoffs like you always have to ruin something that could make things a bit easier. -

I feel like their should be a limit as to how many times you could change a username though,maximum should be 5 ,also on the past username thing would be unfair to newbies who want that name,its like...if you got rid of that name then it should just disapear.But I see why though,like it could cause confusion if you leave it as that way.

Make things a lot easier? Just because you don't like your name doesn't mean everything would be easier when you change it.

Do the facebook limit of three changes. Then if you want to change it, you only have those three options. -

How about we make it one change as starters for Newbies and when you level up, the number of changes you can make increases as well?

It'd be more reasonable if the limit would be only once. Then those who change their name can announce it in the feed back and updates forum.
