Welp, seems like all hope for me and the boy is gone. And just when I thought maybe someone would finally like me for who I was.
The reason for this is that I'm way too shy to ask him in fear of being rejected, like I usually am.
And he's really shy too, and he wouldn't do it because I know he thinks I'd be a very quiet and unloving person.
Sigh.. Oh well. To dream. -

Don't worry about finding "the right one". Honestly, that's an idea that's all but impossible to accomplish. Nobody knows who they'll be happy with until they give it a try. You aren't going to find happiness if you sit around and wait for someone to sweep you off your feet. And you definitely aren't going to find it waiting for some magical sign. Go out there and take the initiative.
That kinda dorky guy friend you have that has never gone on a date, sorry to tell you this Alice, but chances are, he likes you.
The same goes for that friend who likes to spend time with you all the time or the person who enjoys sitting there and listening to you talk.
Don't make it awkward and don't discredit anybody. Ask if they want to go see a movie, or go to the mall or something. Just the two of you. I think you may find that they can surprise you, no matter how well you think you know them. And don't be afraid to surprise yourself. Take the risks and do the things your scared to do. Take chances and be happy. Life's too short to skip to the end. And there's no reverse either. -
