Oh, looks like GTQ Guy has come...
'Journo! -
backing up gtq guy
the bible also said you should kill all non-believers :P -
including your friends, family, people closest to you xP
-
GTQ Guy- eh, I'm too narrow-minded to want to accept that idea, though I know what you mean.
So I'm gussing your not a Christian?
Nikki- thorugh salvation we are saved. -
@Brit: So, are the homosexuals saved in Salvation as well? Or do they burn in hell for sexual attraction and falling in love?
-
Carri- The Bible doesn't really express any special family peramiters, though we defintly embrace them. The New Testament is more recent, after and during Jesus, so therefore the ultimate goal should be to love.
-
The bible is a set of examples of which you can live your life by. The rules within its pages are subject to debate and interpretation. Believing them word for word is as ignorant an act as discarding it fully.
I am a atheist. I do not believe in a theistic god. But I do have morals. Some of which are in the bible. I do not get my morals from the bible, but I will not ignore that it has some good things written within it. Like I've said before, the bible is a cute fairy tale. And even fairy tales have a moral to the story. -
Nikki- They are saved. I'm surpirsed you didn't know that.
-
I'm not compleely sure, but aren't thewir several versions of the Bible? Several different translations that are not all alike?
-
@Brit: I'm not anything....I wouldn't know. I'm trying to study religion, but I haven't gotten to Christianity yet.
-
GTQ- No, we just embrace a society more according to the New Testament.
-
Nikki- your not? I thought you were Christian.
-
@Brit: Technically, yes. But I don't believe in believing something that is passed down to you, believing in the Bible because your parents do. Belifs are personal, so I'd rather study different religions, learn about them and all. The ones I agree with the most, I look in depth into them.
I used to know a lot about Christianity...I've forgotten a lot, over the years. -
Well yes, I've actually developed my own views that usually fall in place with my parents.
I'll probably become a Lutheran when I'm an adult. -
I guess GTQ Guy is done.
