Always do something different; you need to stay fresh! Also do what they want more often or not, and even if you are not interested at least act like you are so that they feel welcomed.

I don't know you're age but I can say from experience that the odds of your relationship being successful correlate to the age and maturity of the people involved. Dating is one way for you to learn about yourself and others and discover what personalities do and don't work well with you, but it's also a very damaging way to figure it out. If you're in a relationship right now all I can say is the best relationships are build on trust, honesty, and open communication.
Dating because you're bored or lonely is never a good idea. Every successful relationship I've ever seen stems from a mutual respect for each other and a willingness to learn, grow, and accept each other's flaws. -
My partner and I are both avid gamers, but many of my friends do not game with their partners and it becomes a rift in the relationship. One partner will often resent the other for gaming, and I've even seen it for so far to where the gamer asks the other to join them, and their partner will refuse to even get involved with their partners hobbies.
Don't be that couple. That goes for any hobby or interest. You don't have to like everything your partner does, but you do have to learn to accept them for their interests and not belittle them or make them feel bad for it. You should also both find things you both like doing together because initial attraction and "getting to know each other" only lasts for so long. Once that's gone you're going to want to know you can spend time with them doing things you both enjoy -
Communication! It doesn't matter what the context is, if you and your partner can't communicate it won't work out
-
Just trust the person.

What if they are a jokster

What if you know they joke around and they don't mean what they say
