So, I’ve loved this guy practically ever since I met him. As in ever since I spoke to him. He got me all lovey dovey, however I have never been in a relationship before. I was scared of commitment until I met him, then I was all for it. But he likes someone else. I confessed to him on Valentines Day after getting the nerves, and I ran away fast before he could reply. I asked my friend what his reaction was because she was a witness and she said his jaw just dropped open, not saying a word or anything. After that, we’ve looked at each other a lot, though pretty awkwardly. We make eye contact but break it immediately and it’s embarrassing. I have a lot of questions to make out. What are the signs a guy likes you? Should I move on from him? Does he not like me back? What do I do?

Did it seem like he liked you before?

I recall him giving me cute nicknames (more specifically a snack, after one day I decided to eat it for snack in third period), but I can’t be so sure. He’d tease me playfully, and we’d joke around in a ‘Karen’ sort of way. He usually looks at me when I make a funny joke to my friends, but other than that he almost never glanced my way.

How/when did you find out he liked someone else?

I had that happen to me but in reverse. This girl started hanging out with me at practice. We were always joking around but it was because neither my or her friends were around. I never liked her and she didn't like me either too. So maybe you took it the wrong way.

Dragonsfire, I found out he liked someone else through mutual friends, and from watching him closely of who he stares at/talks to the most, who he seems most nervous around, etcetera.

Well the thing is, you already confessed, so he has the next move. If he never does make a move, then I'd think it's safe to say he's not interested.

Me being a boy I think that he feels embarrassed. He probably just thought of you as a friend it sounds like. When you confessed to him on Valentine’s Day, you probably just really surprised him. I think that if he does not talk to you for 2 weeks or so, then you should go up to him and ask him if he is ok.
But to b honest, I never had any relationships or girlfriends or anything like that before so I dunno. I am only a 4teen year old. Good luck to you and I hope that you to get this settled. Bye! -

I’m just going to vent on him real quickly though
So, today in 2nd period he tried to start conversation with me
And in 6th period he sat by me
Then whenever we make eye contact, he doesn’t break it. Instead we both just smile at eachother. Until, of course, he made this hysterical face and I just broke away laughing uncontrollably
