Today at recess(Im in fifth grade)my friend Cassidy wanted to talk to this guy I sorta a little liked. So me and my friends Cindy and Chloe just be crazy and sorta tried to spy on Cassidy and Ethan(the guy I sorta a little liked)
Then,Cassidy and Ethan came back to Me,Cindy,and Chole and said "Haileigh,Ethan wants to talk to you."
So he does...in private. o.o
And here's how it went...
Me:What do ya want?
Ethan:I like you.
Me:As a friend...?
Ethan:No as...
Me:Oh...
Ethan:Cassidy told me you liked me. So do you...?
Me:Ummm...I...well...I dunno...
Then I went back to my friends and there were more of them and they were all like "Well?" and stuff like that.
Im trying to forget about what happened...it's hard to. -.- -

I don't want to have a boyfriend and have to be busy with him. I want to focus on fun.

No need for pressure. Take some advice from Miss Bunniesrule. Don't date yet. Enjoy your childhood. You'll have the rest of your life to date. Enjoy that small part of your life to have fun. Personally, I think its slutty to date in fifth grade.

Yeah. I agree with bunniesrule on this. I mean, I think its a complete joke to date to put that lightly at that age. I mean it's so incredibly akward. I've really never dated some one, but I went with one of my frineds that's a girl to DQ. It was really kinda akward. And where do you get the money? I mean, being boyfriend/girlfriend I guess is alright, but I don't like the phrase going out. Becasue in middle school, 8 times out of 10 the "couple" hasn't ever gone on a date.

I agree and disagree. I don't think it's slutty to date. He likes you. And being boyfriend and girlfriend at that time can really just mean you hold hands and stuff. Also, I don't think it's awkward. Relationships are awkward for, as far as I figure, 1 of 2 reasons: 1. The couple doesn't have good chemistry. Or 2. The two people are just naturally awkward people, and would be awkward around anyone.
If you like this guy, and you just want to be able to hang out with him and be with him, then do that. But if you feel uncomfortable and don't like the guy, then you shouldn't "go out" with him. It really depends on how you feel, and your mind set at any given time. -

You're at the age where really, dating is something that isn't too much of a big dilema, you get me? You two are young. You're still experimenting and such. At your age, really, dating is the same as 'Really great friends, but we're of different sex." =)
But if you're uncomfortable, don't do it. Tell him that you just want to be friends. -
