Usually when someone tells a joke or says something they find amusing, the person will look to the other person they like the most, to see if they're laughing too. Other times they will go out of their way to talk to you and make you laugh, or to seek you approval.
Sometimes they will use excuses to touch you and they might try to strike up conversations with you. Again, this all might mean that they view you as a friend, but if they react like this around you and not around others, it might be because they like you.

Yeah, I never really watched for signs. It was either way too obvious, or they confessed that they liked me.

offline, they might touch you or look for excuses to be with you(Joining the clubs you're in, maybe txting you a lot with nice things). they might confess to being awkward, or ask if you're open on a day, idk...

Some signs that someone likes you:
They pay more attention to you
The person notices if you have something cool, nice, and stuff
They try to make an eye contact with you
They look at you a lot -

For me it's just whenever I can really get someone's attention. Like they make a point to talk to me or try to see me again. Idk about how much they actually like me, but it's pretty easy to tell when someone is at least interested. You can also tell if the person is interested by how much attention they give back to you if you initiate more things.
