Ok, so me and this guy were BFFs...and I started to have a crush on him. So did he. I told him, and everything was going great. Then my friend swooped in and stole him. Haven't talked to her since. So some of my other friends convinced me to move on to this other guy...it was all a joke though, 'cuz he already had a girlfriend.

Wow that sucks. Some friends. Maybe u should go up to the guy and just tell something like "ok so u liked me but ur going outnwith my friend... Wow that's great!" and then walk away.
