I’m either bisexual or lesbian but i haven’t made my mind up yet.

Okay so this is making me kinda angry. I have nothing against it but it still pisses me off.
It’s called Straight Pride Parade and it also lets a whole month (like Pride Month) and the reason why it makes me angry is because gays died and were killed to have that month celebrated. The straights were always accepted, if they want a holiday it should last a week at the least -

well i have seen one decent argument for it. basically some people think that if only gay pride is celebrated then straight people, especially straight kids will feel like they're less valued.

So they have a month because if they didn't it would hurt their feelings

I mean I remember in middle school when literally all of my friends were lgbtq+ except me cause I’m straight and it felt a little weird being different which sounds stupid because I know that they are the ones who are discriminated against for being “different” but like they were all cool with their pride flags and stuff and I think I would have looked kind of stupid walking around with a straight pride flag

I mean yeah I’m fine with them celebrating straight pride but like... no one was killed to celebrate it. We died for it to be celebrated and what are they celebrating? The murders of straight people? I don’t think so.

There was one guy in a shark suit who said he thinks the whole thing is a joke, and I agree. I think it’s just making fun of the pride parade and that’s not okay. -
yeah, i agree that it was made to mock gay pride . i think a straight pride thing could be very valid but not the way they do it since it was made with ill intent
