Lets give the simple version..
Having feeling for a girl who is gay, your friend. Well they have sort of said they were gay, but still. You've known them for a while now, know them quite well and everything. You just began to feel towards them? But they are gay though. So, do you still try to tell them how you feel? Just to let them know and let it out? Or hold it in, don't tell them at all? Or what would you do?

I have had a crush on a girl that was straight. All you can do is accept that they aren't attracted to you and get over it unfortunately. It will suck, but will heal in time.
