I can't stand it. Why have one day dedicated to showing your significant other how much you love them? It's stupid. Then the single people who are ugly as f--- like me have to spend the day alone, all because of one holiday over hyped by media.

Idk, I see it as an opportunity to show people how much you love them, including friends and family. Sure, you should show them every day, but Valentine's Day is a nice reminder. Besides, having a holiday dedicating to celebrating love is pretty nice. It doesn't have to be about your significant other; it can be about your mother, father, best friend, dog, or anyone else you love. Heck, why not get yourself something, too?
I've personally always liked Valentine's Day, even on the years that I haven't gotten anything. It has my favourite candy out of all the holidays, anyway. Everything is cherry flavoured!! :) -
