Does it make sense to kiss a boy without even dating him then finding out he likes you and he has a girlfriend????

It seems like you've got quite the situation on your hands.
Here's my advice.
First: Tell him he has a girlfriend and he truly loves her, he will stay with her (Sorry, I know it may sound harsh, but its reality)
Second: If he dumps his girlfriend for a non probable cause, it shows what kind if character he has, and that he shouldn't be dating anyone in the first place.
Personally, you may have been a little forward in giving him that kiss, but that may just be that way I'm taking it. -
