Bi_Bunny NewbieI'm 13 and I kinda say I'm in love with my girlfriend but like I'm too young and we haven't dated for a long time so yeah but how old do YOU think someone should be to know real true love
-

16 or older. MOre likely in college. In middle school . well- no. I am twelve and I love my Friends. And I like my crush. You see what I mean?

In my honest opinion, it's all in perspective. Love is something that you feel. It's not something that you fabricate on a whim, and it's not exactly a choice in a sense that you can't choose who you feel strongly for. It just happens.
Now, the problem with that is the younger you are, the more you mistake other emotions for love. Common emotions towards a partner include:
-Obsession
-Lust
-Puppy love
-Guilt
-Pity
There was a time where I believed I found my soulmate. I thought I was in love. And I was, for a while. But a lot of it was obsession and guilt. It took me a solid year to realize what I was feeling wasn't pure love, and even then I let myself stay in the relationship anyway when I knew it wasn't true. That was a relationship I started when I was about 13.
It's possible you know what love is. But it's also possible you're feeling emotions that aren't the love you're thinking of. It's okay to feel like they're the one, but always be open to take new perspectives as you grow up. You might find someone better down the line. -
