And most importantly
You as the significant other, how would you react if your partner told you that news?

Guys this is really important and like i need an answer like today if i can get one because my relationship is in flames already and i dont know if saying this to them will make it worse -

Oh, so if I were the significant other, and my partner told me that someone asked them to homecoming, I would be okay with it, since my partner doesn't even want to go with that person.

I would still tell my significant other. I mean, a relationship is about openness and honesty. Plus, you don't want to go with the person that asked you anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem with your significant other.

I told them and they flipped their s--- and accused me of being a cheater for flirting with other people even though i legit didn't know these people other than from previous rotc class years.
And now we're giving each other space.
