But at the same time get what you mean.
^~^ regardless of wether you're dating a male or female, when dating a bisexual person, you not only have to compete with other females, but you also now have to compete with males. This makes a lot of people uncomfortable because they're not sure they can compete with both genders.
So it's not you, it's them. They're insecure little shts. Don't feel bad. -
I dated a bisexual girl who dated several others whilst dating me. She said that she loved ne more, but in the end, she was only dating me to experiment. Nobody wants to be an experiment.
But that was one case, so idk why someone would boycott bisexuals. altogether. -
In my personal experience, when people say stuff like this, they're:
a. afraid that bisexuality makes someone more likely to cheat. Some people hear the word and think that it means bisexuals are likely to try to enter two (or more) relationships at once without telling their partner.
b. under the assumption that being bisexual is just a phase, or that the bisexual in question is "faking it." These people usually tend to believe that you can only be straight, or only be gay.
c. all of the above
As with any relationship, the best thing to do in a situation like this is to communicate. If you think it might be experimental, explain that before committing to the relationship. If you want to have a polyamorous relationship (which is completely consensual and enjoyed by everyone within the group), talk about it first and make sure to really focus on how your partner is feeling. Regardless of your sexuality, if you aren't talking things out, the relationship is probably suffering.
Oh, and the people who are opposed to bisexuals as a whole are probably not the sort you'd want to date, anyways. -
