Thread Topic: What have I gotten myself into again

So I've gone to college this year and everything seems different. People of every age are here but they're usually around my age (18). So I met this girl who I thought to be at most 1 year older than me. She's really nice, we have many things in common and our convos are always interesting and full of laughs. I think it might be a little too early to say that, but I think I really like her.
But today when we were talking, I realized she is 4 years older than me. I was shocked, because she doesn't seem 4 years older than me at all; neither looks nor her behaviour. I like her, but this way our chance of fetting together is really low 1- because she won't probably date a guy 4 years younger than her and 2- it's not really common...I mean many people might see it as a bad thing and this will discourage her...
I don't know what to do. Is it ever possible for us to get together? Is it right? Will she ever see me the same now that she knows my age? -
If she likes you for who you are then she won't care if you're four years younger. My sister had dated a guy seven years older than her, but their compatibility was the reason why it didn't work, not because of their age. Yes I know it's usually the other way around, but (here comes the cheesy line) age is just a number when you're in love; or in your case, in like.

Dude, my mom and dad are 5 years apart. One of my friend's parents are 12 years apart, their mother older and father younger. Just go for it. I might have given up on love, but you still have a chance. So good luck with your love life dude

Alright listen mate, my mom is 44 years old and my dad is 59. So with math the age difference is...15? lol your worried about 4 heck my friend's parents have a 30 year age difference! I swear to my God and yours I was shocked too...
Anyway what I am saying is although people may talk now and blah blah but it is normal and although she may be a little older than you I think you should first try and figure out whether she likes you then make your move man -
I know the age difference usually doesn't matter, but when the girl is older she won't be comfortable dating a younger guy...I don't know. I'm gonna keep my friendship with her and see what happens later. Anyway, thank you guys.

Mbyamaha NoviceI met a girl and we had those same conversations. I had almost instantly fell in love with after about month I asked and she said no

My boyfriends parents are 5 years apart, his mother is the older one.
If you really like her and she really likes you,I say why not, people always talk no matter what. -
I think I gotta give it some time. That way I'll figure everything out eventually.

It depends on her personality. Some girls actually like dating younger guys. Maybe it IS too early for you to tell her. Stay friends for a while and then if you were 100% sure that she is the one you really like, Tell her. I know that it's hard but It could turn out great, or she could just say that she doesn't date younger guys; but that won't ruin your friendship with her. She'll understand, Trust me. Look at her behaviour around you now that she knows your age. Is it more like an older sister or is it the same way it used to be before knowing your age?
JUST GO UP TO HER AND SAY "I LYK U LET'S MAKE BABIES." I suck at helping I know ;~; -
That's what I'm planning to do. I will wait for some weeks and see what happens. If once she gets to know me well she decides that she can ignore the age differences, then we'll have a chance. At least we can try right? We aren't gonna marry. Just a relationship to see how things will work. I'll probably tell her these when I'm gonna ask her out. Trying wouldn't hurt would it?

@Viktor: It doesn'y matter about what others think. If you truly DO like her, nothing will get in your way.
