Thread Topic: Speaking of cell phones.

I have an iPhone 4. No, not 4S. It's not super fancy but's it's the best phone I've ever had. I can listen to my music, make notes whenever I want to, makes calls and texts and access the internet and many other things. It has no cracks or damages. (Which is amazing considering how clumsy I am. The case is good though.)
Apparently it's getting "old" (3 years? In my mind that's young). However it still can do iOS 7 and be updated and whatnot. What I'm wondering is when the time comes and Apple won't let it be updated anymore what phone I would change to. .3. I don't need a lot of fancy things really. The main thing I love about my current phone is it's basically an MP3 player and phone combo. It honestly works perfectly for me. As long as it still makes calls, texts, and plays music/podcasts for me I don't see a reason to get a new phone for a while. Not to mention it's all very expensive.
My main question is is the current market of new phones really worth updating and spending that much money to get the new model? I haven't seen any other phones that really appeal to me honestly.
