iPod 4g Not Charging

Ok, my iPod charger has been working for almost a year now. Then yesterday it started saying that charging wasn't supported with the accessory. It sometimes charges, other times it says "not supported". I've tried using different plugs but it seems like the problem is in the cord. What do I do about it?

Try someone else's cord, and if it works, then yeah, get a new cord.

My dad gave me his other cord and it works! :D

I bought another brand of charger that wasn't the Apple charger and it said the same thing. What worked for me was upluging it over and over again until it worked.
